Although advocators claims that using mobile devices such as laptop computer and smartphone in the classroom increase studying ability, it should be banned in the classroom. This is because it distracts students from instructor; it takes opportunity to learn note-taking; and it encourage to feel alienation for some students who don’t have the devices.

Topic sentence

The first reasons that mobile devices should be banned in classroom is that they make students not focus on instructors.

Second, the reasons that mobile devices should be banned in classroom is that they student would not learn effective way for note-taking any more if they continue to use mobile devices.

Final reasons that the mobile devices should be banned in classroom is that most of them are expensive, thus they can make for some student who don’t have the devices feel alienation.

Counter-argument

It is true that there are diverse mobile devices to help studying. First mentioned opinion by advocators is that using laptop enables to include much more information in note-taking. For example, when instructor explains unfamiliar notion, students can search more information immediately. They can also add some pictures to help their understanding. However, it is not everything to include huge amount of information in their note-taking. More the lectures are proceeded, more information is obtained. Namely, Students need to learn how to summary their note. Even if all information, collected by mobile devices, would be helpful to understand the notion, students still would need well organized and summarized note when they prepare to be assessed such as quiz, midterm, and final exam.
